Proprietors
Owners and brothers John-Thomas, 34, and Christopher Scott, 30, were raised in DeKalb County and are sons of the late Tax-Commissioner, Tom Scott and former County Commissioner-District 3, Jacqueline Scott. Both J-T and Chris attended St. Pius Catholic High School as well as Spring Hill Jesuit College near Mobile, Alabama.

John-Thomas Scott
When John-Thomas graduated college in 1997, he ran his mother’s political campaign until 1998 when he went to work as a server at Mick’s Restaurant in Decatur. Quite enjoying the restaurant business, he eventually worked his way up to Manager.

Christopher Scott
After working a year in construction in Miami, Florida, Christopher soon joined J-T at Mick’s, initially as a delivery driver. Chris went on to cook and then serve for Mick’s for two more years along with J-T.
In 2002, the brothers opened One-Stop Emissions on Memorial Drive, but always had their minds on eventually opening their own restaurant. Much to their delight, Mick’s became available in 2007, they began plans for a desperately-needed Decatur steakhouse, and in November of 2008 Parker’s on Ponce opened their doors and the first Decatur Steakhouse was born.
The Restaurant
Parker’s on Ponce is located in historic Decatur, Georgia, just four miles east of downtown Atlanta. Opened in November of 2008, Parker’s is Decatur’s first independently-owned steakhouse by brothers Christopher and John-Thomas Scott who named the restaurant after John-Thomas’ daughter.
